Writing Excuses has been going for several years, and they update almost every week. It’s only 15 minutes long, so it’s easier to take it all in. Brandon Sanderson is one of the podcasters, and is a major figure in modern fantasy writing. Mary Kowall is not only an SF and fantasy writer, but also is a puppeteer, and brings that perspective to the podcast. The core cast is rounded out by a horror writer, Dan Wells, a web cartoonist and writer, Howard Tayler, Mary Anne Mohanraj, founder of Strange Horizons and professor of Literature, Wesley Chu, writer and actor, and Piper J. Drake, suspense and military romance and SF writer.
Since season 10 (2015), they’ve been doing a season plan. Season 10 (and later seasons) are set up like a master class. Several episodes each month are part of the class, and one each month is “potluck”, an unplanned episode. See the show notes for Episode 10.1
