Story Grid Podcast

Story Grid Podcast

Story Grid was original a book, written by Shawn Coyne, an editor with several decades of experience in the publishing world. He developped a method for understand structure of a work, so that he could communicate what was needed in books, in a way that was helpful to writers. It’s very good for those who are high on the plotter end of discovery writer vs. plotter scale. In this podcast, a newer writer, Tim Grahl, discusses the Story Grid, and how it is applied to many works, including Tim’s in progress stories. One can use the method to plot out what’s needed where to make a satisfying story; it’s not saying it’s the only way, but it is a way that’s been shown to work. The book is still available and complements well the podcast.

It’s great for those who likely a highly structured approach to their writing.
