I can’t speak for everyone, but I ended seeing my sales go up. In my case I cannot tell how much of that was my dropping prices and how much of that was people looking from the Furry Book Month promotion (I merely dropped prices, didn’t use promotion codes or anything), however I will say that the post I had made on my blog sharing sales got more traffic than my blog normally gets and I did see people clicking through to books and publishers I had linked to.
This is definitely something I would like to do again, although if we do that means getting started for next year pretty much now, starting with talking to everyone who participated to see if there are any ideas for improvements. Perhaps some sort of suggestion box thread on here would be in order? If this is going to be come a regular thing then it might also be worthwhile to gather a group of volunteers who are willing to spend time on this (I’d be willing to dedicate a bit of my days to helping with something like this).
